UniEliCare began not as a company but as a cry of the heart.
Our founder, Ijenna Aluko, experienced the unimaginable: the loss of her second twin at birth, a child who was expected to be born with a developmental disability. That moment of grief opened a lifelong journey, not just of healing, but of discovery.
Years later, she found herself walking beside mothers and families raising children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children she lovingly refers to as having Unique Abilities. In their stories, she saw her own pain. But she also saw an opportunity: to create something that could have changed their lives… and hers.
